Livecut from Mdsp at Smartelectronix is a free vst effect for beat mashing and glitchy resampling of an audio signal on the fly. Livecut has a modern simple, elegent and effective gui for controling its signal processing. It uses comb filtering, bitreduction, pitchshifting and beat warping to reassemble whatever you feed it.
These are some of my favorite types of plugins to use when you just need some fresh ideas to get started on a new track. It works especially well with drumloops and percusive sounds but is also use full for other types of audio loops or on an effects channel. Its one of those plugins that gets more interesting the more you play with it and tweak its parameter controls.
