KVR Audio is one of our favorite and most often read websites. If you are looking for information about music production there is probably no better one stop resource than KVR audio. They have a huge member base with many sound and audio professionals as members providing helpful input regularly. KVR also has one of the largest user forums of its kind covering a multitude of audio and sound related topics as well as including many top manufacturers and developers official forums. They have an immense database of information about almost every piece of audio soft and hardware available and a large selection of files available for download of Synth and effect presets.
