Togeo Studios Live Pack Support
Leave your questions or comments here having to do with the Togeo Studios free Ableton Live packs.
*** Any of our Live packs that are using instrument racks require at least Live 6, drumracks require Live 7. Live packs from Abletons own site, Puremagnetik and some other third party sites do indeed double-click and install directly into the Live library ready to go. Not to question Abletons motives for not allowing all Live packs to install directly, but we wouldnt be having so much trouble if there were only one type of install. Anyway.... A little more info: .alp files (Ableton Live Pack) contain the project folders which must be extracted before they can be managed. So for the Dreamscapes pack you should be looking for the project folder entitled "Dreamscapes Project" and manage that. Also if you look in the project folder you can see the files and the folder structure as they would look in your Live library. (that might help a little) 1. Double click the .alp file (Live starts) to open the project to a temp destination folder (outside of the library) of your choice in the file dialog. 2. In the live browser look for the same location you chose in step 1, now manage the "project folder" (not the files inside) 3. Manage window opens on the right side in live with information about the project. Choose "Add files to your library" at the bottom of the management window. Look in presets for "Togeo Studios" folders first. (mostly in instrument racks, but there may be in other folders as well, "Simpler" for example.) We are working on drums so later probably in drum racks and simpler folders too. So to sum this up... .alp files install project folders, which are then managed and their files are added to library, inside Togeo Studios folders. I dont have a Mac, but many of our Mac users have verified that these packs install on Mac systems. |

RE: Togeo Studios Live Pack Support
Its not so bad once you install them manually a couple times, it becomes easier. Is there any problem your having getting the packs installed that I can help you with?

Im just pissed off with ableton! They should be allowing everybody to make "one click installation" live packs! Live community has became huge and growing more and more! Many users want to share their ideas ... for 5 -10 -15 packs ok. Youll make a coffee and install them but what about if there are 200-300? already talking about that on ableton forums anyway! Thanks for your grat packs man! Havent play much with them yet but ill do
