Installing Live Packs on mac?
Hey all,
I have Ableton Live 7 LE, downloaded some Togeo live packs, very excited to try them out. I read the tutorial on how to install, but it seems as if its just for windows, as there is no option for me to right click and "manage." Anyone know the easiest way to install the Togeo packs on mac? Thanks, wupphl |

RE: Installing Live Packs on mac?
It is Cntl-click on a Mac.
If you still have trouble you might try looking in the Ableton Live manual in the section on file management starting on page 60 and see if that makes it more clear. Hope that helps. TS |

RE: Installing Live Packs on mac?
Yeah that doesnt work. To be clear, when you press control - click, no menu you appears. I just plugged in a mouse, where the right click is set to work (works with other programs), and it still doesn't work.
The ableton manual gives the same advice more or less. Any other mac users have insight on how to do this? Ah I figured it out. No worries, these sound great so far! thanks |

RE: Installing Live Packs on mac?
Hey cool, glad you got it. We dont have Macs ourselves. Could you possibly do us a favor and explain how to do it so others will know? We get these questions from Mac users and it would be a big help. Thanks.

RE: Installing Live Packs on mac?
Sure thing. It's actually the exact same way, its just worded a bit confusingly in your FAQ.
The steps are: 1. Download Live Pack from Togeo Studios 2. On Mac, the downloaded file will unzip automatically, and you will be left with a folder. 3. Open this folder and double click the Live Pack (.alp) file, this will open ableton and prompt you to save the file somewhere. 4. Save it to your Desktop 5. In Ableton (no need to restart), go to the file browser on the left of the screen by clicking one of the file browser buttons below the Ableton Library button (Live Device Browser). The button you want looks like a folder with a number inside of it. 6. Navigate to the desktop in this browser, and locate the file you saved earlier. 7. Do not double click this file, instead right click it (control + click on mac), and select "Manage Files," or something similar 8. The file manager will open on the right side of ableton, and at that point, press the bottom most option "Export." The files will automatically be exported into your library Hope this helps, thank a lot |
