Hi guys! I'm brand new. I'm not just new to your website and forum, but to creating music in general! I've been sucked into the idea, and my interest in learning how to operate the equipment and programs to make some music is VERY high. Right now I've been reading this guy's website on how to create a home studio:
http://www.tweakheadz.com/guide.htm Even though it's taking forever to learn the terms and how things work, I'm definitely excited to be doing it. I've already ordered some equipment like a midi controller, preamp, microphone, and I downloaded Ableton Live 7. I actually found your website when I was randomly looking for extras for Ableton on a bittorrent website ![]() I haven't even installed Ableton yet, and don't really know how the sound packs work that you have made available, but I think I get the general idea. I definitely appreciate people like you that make resources readily available at no charge. I listened to some of the sample mp3 files that you had for some of the packs and they sound really neat! Not just neat, but like what I would hear in a modern song on the radio. Very impressive! Before I found your site, and listened to those samples, I figured that making music in this way would sound low quality and maybe cheesy, but that is not the case apparently. Thanks for getting me excited with your beats!!! You may see me in your forums in the future, but classes start up soon at my university, and so I might be pretty busy the next couple of months with school work. I put your website in my favorites Thanks a bunch!-Chris |

RE: Hello!
Hello to you and welcome to our little spot. Great to hear your all fired up. Take your time and of course read the manual, but its all possible if you want to. Even professionals are continuing to learn new ways to do things so your not alone there. Feel free to ask any questions you like, hopefully someone here can help. Tweakheadz has some really good information, we like their site as well.
If you have any trouble with installing our Live packs let us know, its just getting used to the way Ableton does it. We have been pretty busy getting our other site at Togeo Music up so I missed your post till now what with the holidays and all but we are usually online and we dont mind discussing music production. We are still learning all the time too. So again welcome and good luck with your studies. |
