SST LEADS V2 is a free Ableton Live pack from Togeo Studios containing 350 lead synth instruments. These presets for the Ableton Live Simpler device have been carefully crafted to provide a large selection of sounds to add melodies, arpegios and riffs to your next tracks. Every thing from standard synth leads or fat trance swells to granulated IDM wierdness. There is something in this pack for everyone and every style and genre of music.
The first 100 presets are the standard sounds with macro controls for the ADSR amp envelope, volume and filter settings. After that things get wilder, there are sample combos and modulations applied with controls for the LFO effects, filters and pitch depending upon the rack. The last hundred or so get totally freaky and should do well in experimental, ambient, industrial, techno and IDM genres but could be tweaked for use in just about any style of music.
We decided not to add effects to our instrument racks so that you have the most room to manipulate and tweak the sounds exactly how you need them for your tracks and add the effects that fit for you. (We do have plans to release a pair of Live packs with midi and audio effect racks in the future though.)
