Crystal VSTi - Free Synth

Crystal from Greenoaks is a free semi-modular software synthesizer featuring both subtractive synthesis and frequency modulation (FM) synthesis in the form of a VSTi plugin. It features over 90 parameters for creating its unique sounds and is an excellent sounding synth that will work in any host using the VST standard. Its sample rom capability allows it to emulate real instruments but it excels at producing rich evolving pads and soundscapes

Its GUI takes a bit of getting used to and at first can be a little confusing, but once you get that figured out this is a very versitile and usable softsynth comparable to many products costing a lot more. Its breeding function allows you to morph between two presets. It has an adjustment for the strength of the morph variance and quite consistantly produces usable results.
