The free music community Jamendo anounced today that they have 10,000 albums available. Jamendo is supported by artists who upload their music under the Creative Commons licensing that allows users to legally download, distribute and share the music with others. The services provided by Jamendo are free and its a great way to hear quality albums from all genres of music. Whether you like pop, rock, electronic, ambient or experimental music, there are a wealth of artists to choose from.
Togeo Music started uploading our albums to Jamendo late in 2007. At that time there were a little over 5000 albums on the Jamendo website. Less then a year later that number has doubled and is continuing to grow every day. We are proud of the job that Jamendo along with Creative Commons has done on behalf of artists and musicians the world over in helping the free music community to grow and prosper. Music should be heard so like it says on their website, ‘Open your ears’. If you haven’t been to Jamendo yet, dont hesitate to stop by there and see whats available musically. But be prepared to spend some time, because there is a lot of really good music to be heard.
